The 2007 regatta will be remembered as the one with all the rain, no wind, high wind and taking place between two periods of warm dry
weather. The climate has no sense of doing the right thing and all the hard work done by Lizzie and her team was greatly appreciated but
would have been crowned with glory if only it had not pissed down.
Well done to Lizzie and the other organisers, especially those on the committee boats who braved the wind and rain to make sure others had a good weekend of racing.
Pictures of the weekend. Once again I was lucky to have my assistant Robyn with me and I must say a special thanks to Derek and Dwilla for
taking us aboard Tolerance on Sunday and enabling us to shoot images from the relative dry of their wonderful boat. In the company of D&D
as well as the two Richards, Francis and Andrew the weather may have been horrible outside but we hardly noticed it, Dwilla is famous for her
"simple picnics" which tern out to be more like a spread from Fortman and Mason and we all ate far more than was good for us.
Once again, well done to all involved and lets hope 2008 is a little less wet.
