Monday 13th of March 2006

Finally, on Saturday 11th, Tim and Amanda got married.

They had of course already made the ultimate commitment – buying a National 12 together- earlier last year, and lets face it getting married can’t be any more daunting than sailing one of those things. Yes its frightening, yes you have to trust the other person and yes you really have to work at it all the time or you end up on the rocks but that’s what owning a N12 is all about and its their own fault for buying one!

Robyn went along to the wedding, she capsized with Tim seven times in one January race and if that doesn’t earn her a piece of wedding cake nothing will, and took this shot for Boat-pics.

I know that I speak for all at Boat-pics (alright both of us) as well as our regular visitors to this site when I wish the bride and groom the very best and hope they enjoy their honeymoon in New York.

As a foot note we also hope that now she has settled down with Tim, Amanda will be able to concentrate on her sailing as we saw a marked downturn in performance from her boat when they first got together which can be read about at Why are the girls going slower?
